Sean Hammond and Callum Munday, instructed by Valerie Pridgeon of Kenneth M Barrow & Co, successfully represented a defendant charged with laundering the proceeds of a £20million pension fraud committed by her husband through numerous bank accounts over the course of six years. The defendant was alleged to have opened a number of bank accounts through which almost £1million passed in less than 18 months, and dishonestly concealing the proceeds of crime. After an eight-day trial at Southwark Crown Court, involving thousands of pages of banking and financial evidence, the defendant was unanimously acquitted.
