Brook House Inquiry

Brian Altman QC was lead counsel to the Brook House Inquiry, in which the second phase of the hearings ended on 6 April 2022. The Inquiry was established to investigate the alleged mistreatment of detained persons at the Brook House Immigration Removal Centre at Gatwick which was exposed by the BBC’s Panorama programme ‘Under-Cover: Britain’s Immigration Secrets’, and broadcast on 4 September 2017.
