Katherine Higgs, instructed by Somsul Hoque of ABV Solicitors, represented a defendant acquitted of two counts of robbery following a 4 day trial at Southwark Crown Court. The defendant was alleged to have threatened the complainant with a knife in order to steal his mobile phone and cash outside a public house in Soho. He had pleaded guilty to theft of the items but denied using or threatening force. The defendant was unanimously acquitted of robbery.
