Response to the CTS “cyber incident” by Sam Thomas 

It has been reported that over 80 legal firms have been impacted by the CTS “cyber incident”, and as a result The Bar Council have issued guidance which includes reference to Sam Thomas’ advice on handling a data breach (link – Handling a data breach | COUNSEL | The Magazine of the Bar of England and Wales (counselmagazine.co.uk). 

Sam is the co-author of Cyber Security Law and Practice (Lexis Nexis); and Blockchain and Cryptocurrency: International Legal and Regulatory Challenges (Bloomsbury Professional). 

He has a wealth of knowledge in relation to the regulatory aspects of cyber law, including information management following a cyber attack, response to personal data breaches and dealing with ransomware.
