Natalie Bird, instructed by Jim Meyer, Partner of Tuckers Solicitors, secured the acquittal of LC who faced a charge of aggravated burglary. LC had been identified by the complainant as the man who chased him inside the hallway of his property during the first COVID lockdown and held a knife to his throat while demanding the keys to his Jaguar parked outside, before stealing it. Following Natalie’s cross-examination of the complainant challenging the accuracy of the identification he had made, the Crown offered no evidence and the Judge directed the jury to acquit LC.
