Huda Musa, instructed by George Dixon of JSP Solicitors, successfully defended a client at Chelmsford Crown Court. The jury returned not guilty verdicts in relation to counts alleging controlling and coercive behaviour, theft and stalking with intent to cause serious alarm or distress. The jury convicted Huda’s client only on the lesser summary only offence of s.2A stalking. The Jury were hung on a further count of harassment with fear of violence and the Crown did not seek a retrial. Huda’s client was sentenced overall to a Fine deemed served by his time spent remanded into custody.
