Christopher Martin represented “SN” in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) on an appeal against a 10 year sentence imposed after a guilty plea at Maidstone Crown Court for an offence of conspiracy to supply 15kg of cocaine.
It was successfully argued that the Judge started at too high a sentence and that the Judge did not give sufficient weight to SN’s personal mitigation. The 10 year sentence was reduced to one of 8 years and 3 months.
