Barry Gilbert acts for the defence in first “cyberflashing” case

Barry Gilbert, instructed by Michael Rees of Levy & Co solicitors, acted for NH who pleaded guilty at Basildon Crown Court to two counts of sending an unsolicited sexual image contrary to the Online Safety Act. NH had a history of such offending, generated by his kidnap and torture in 2016. NH was sentenced to 52 weeks imprisonment for the offences plus 14 weeks for the breaches of Court orders. A sexual harm prevention order for 15 years and a Restraining Order were also imposed.
