Ofcom v CHSTV

Chris Saad, instructed by John Martyn of Howard Kennedy FSI, represented CHSTV, a community satellite channel after it had come under investigation by Ofcom.

Ofcom raised concerns that an advertisement broadcast on CHSTV breached the general prohibition on political advertising (Section 5 of the Broadcasting Code).

After submissions made on the channel’s behalf, Ofcom decided to take no further action against CHSTV.
