Success in ground breaking trademark prosecution

Jim Sturman QC (instructed by Richard Egan of Tuckers) and Simon Baker (instructed by Bambos Tsiattalou and Amjid Jabbar of The Stokoe Partnership) were instructed on behalf of a company and two of that company’s directors who were prosecuted for trading in counterfeit and “grey” clothing. At the trial a number of abuse and other legal arguments were successfully advanced by the defence leading the Crown to offer no evidence, with not guilty verdicts entered against all defendants.
