Stan Reiz KC successfully defends a man against charges of murder and manslaughter

Stan Reiz KC successfully defended a man accused of murdering an 18 year old in a group attack in Liverpool City Centre. The prosecution case was that the attack was in furtherance of a drugs turf war. One of the defendants chased the victim into an internet café in the early evening of the 16^th April 2022. He was followed shortly thereafter by the 8 other defendants. The prosecution case was that the defendants inflicted over 30 injuries to the deceased inside the café and killed him. Some of the defendants were alleged to have actively participated in the violence, whilst others encouraged and/or assisted the commission of the offence.

Following a 6 week trial, Stan Reiz KC’s client, and 3 other defendants, were acquitted of both murder and manslaughter. 5 defendants, including a 14 year old boy, were convicted of murder and await sentence.
