Restraint Order Quashed

William Clegg QC represented the appellant in the Court of Appeal in Re B who had been made the subject of a restraint order following his arrest for alleged money laundering. The Court discharged the order because they were not satisfied that there was sufficient evidence of a risk that the appellant would dissipate his assets. The respondent was ordered to pay the appellants costs in the Court of Appeal and in the Crown Court.
