Mark Milliken-Smith QC, leading Minka Braun of Garden Court Chambers, instructed by Pawan Gill of BH Mohammed Solicitors, has secured the acquittal of M following an 11 week trial at the Reading Crown Court.
The prosecution had alleged that M and 7 other gang members sought out and murdered the leader of a rival gang. M had been specifically recruited to this end. After what was a difficult cut-throat case, involving complex issues of hearsay and bad character, the jury unanimously acquitted M of both murder and manslaughter.
