Louise Sweet QC successfully defends man accused of historic sexual offences

Louise Sweet QC, instructed by Sandra Paul and Nicholas Dent of Kingsley Napley, successfully defended a man accused of serious sexual allegations dating back 20 years.

A businessman who strongly denied allegations of historic sexual offences made by two complainants has been cleared of all charges. Accusations made included bullying, threats and the use of violence to facilitate rape and other serious child sexual assaults. The evidence supported the defence case that false memories were created from other traumatic childhood experiences and that accounts were contaminated over time. Southampton Crown Court.
