Legal 500 2025

The 2025 edition of the Legal 500 guide has been published and Chambers is delighted to have received a total of 62 recommendations, with Chambers described as “an excellent set with skilled pool of barristers of all years of call” and “a cut above.“

34 individual members (12 silks and 22 juniors) have been recommended as leading practitioners in their areas, across 8 of Chambers’ practice areas (Crime, Fraud, Business & Regulatory Crime, Health & Safety, Inquests & Public Inquiries, Professional Discipline & Regulatory, Sport, and Sanctions Law).

Chambers is particularly delighted to see three of our junior tenants recommended for the first time, with Lucy Sweetland and Alex Davidson (recommended for Crime, with Alex listed as a “Rising Star”) and Molly Dyas (recommended as a “Rising Star” for Fraud).  

The clerks come in for particular praise for the” very effective and efficient clerks’ room, which is a combination of good knowledge and a strong work ethic” who are “always efficient and respond promptly to enquiries.”  The praise for the clerks continues that “Paul Rodgers and Lee Bartlett are the twin pillars of 2BR, working under the clerking legend that is John Grimmer. Overall, an excellent clerking team”; “Nobody has done it for longer than John Grimmer and nobody has better judgement or more contacts. First Junior Paul Rodgers is top class and would be a worthy successor”;  “Paul Rodgers and Tom Powell are always on hand to assist and accommodate instructing solicitors“; and “Joe Martin is a great clerk. Nothing is ever too much. He goes the extra mile for solicitors and is very friendly. In general, the clerks’ room is very strong. They are very accommodating and efficient.“
