Jim Sturman QC secures acquittal in conspiracy to murder trial

Jim secured the acquittal of RD after a submission of no case to answer was upheld by the trial Judge at Ipswich Crown Court in a case alleging conspiracy to murder. In an earlier trial 5 co-accused had received sentences upon conviction after a trial totalling 112 years for their involvement in a plan to shoot a man to death, the Crown alleged that RD was a party to that plan and alleged that the gunmen had shouted “Rebecca wants you dead” before firing a shotgun at point blank range.
