International money laundering acquittal

Ashraf Khan secures an acquittal in a £34 million international money laundering conspiracy. Ashraf acted as leading counsel for AG in Operation Supertop at Snaresbrook Crown Court. This case was prosecuted by the Serious Fraud Division of the CPS and collapsed 6 weeks into trial after significant disclosure failings were uncovered by the defence. The Crown’s application for an adjournment was rejected by the trial judge after hearing legal argument. Consequently, no evidence was offered against AG and a not guilty verdict was entered.
