Firearms Live Webinar – 10th March

We are pleased to announce Angela Shaw and Mark Mastaglio of Forensic Firearms Consultancy will be discussing the forensic science of both Firearms and Gunshot Residue (GSR) cases. Angela and Mark are widely considered the ‘go-to’ experts in these areas.

Angela Shaw: Angela was formerly the GSR Principal Scientist for the Forensic Science Service (FSS). She is instructed by numerous agencies such as the CCRC (R v George [2007]), CPS (R v Rhys Jones – Liverpool CC [2008] and Defence. Angela has been working in this area for 20 years and is an internationally renowned expert.

Mark Mastaglio: Mark has over 30 years’ experience, formerly the Firearms Principal Scientist for the FSS. Internationally acknowledged as a leading expert and elected in 2009 as Chair of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes Firearms/GSR Working Group. In 2015 commenced role as Ballistics Senior Technical Advisor for the UN. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences.
