Chris Saad defends in recent sports law cases concerning breaches of FA Disciplinary regulations and a National League appeal.
Chris represented a Participant before a Regulatory Commission of the Football Association. The Participant was alleged to have behaved in a threatening and/or violent and/or improper way contrary to Rule E3. At a directions hearing Chris applied to exclude a large amount of evidence the FA sought to rely on. The application was successful. The Participant was sanctioned on an “improper only” basis by the Commission.
Chris also represented Dover Athletic Football Club before the Appeal Board of the Football Association in relation to breaches of National League Rule 8.39 (failing to fulfil fixtures). The appeal concerned the meaning of “just cause”, the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on club finances and appropriate sanctions.
