Acquittal in causing death by dangerous driving trial

Jim Sturman QC (instructed by Mark Brookes of Clyde and Co) acted for X, a man of good character, who was acquitted at the Judge’s direction. The Crown’s case had relied on alleged excessive speed in wet conditions and criticisms of the state of the tyres, both of those allegations were rebutted by defence expert evidence.
