Michael Wolkind QC acted for TG, a policeman who was alleged to have broken into a house and attacked a mother whose children were asleep in the next room. In an earlier trial, when Michael did not represent him, the detective was convicted of charges of vaginal and anal rape. He had served 14 months imprisonment before Michael took the matter to the Court of Appeal and won a re-trial. This time a jury acquitted TG after just an hour’s deliberations.
