M was acquitted of sexual offences on 2 complainants aged 3 at the time of the alleged offending. Tracy Ayling QC and Shauna Ritchie (acting for the defendant) represented evidence from an internationally renowned expert in the forensic questioning of child witnesses to demonstrate flaws in police procedures leading to unreliable evidence being obtained.
