Members of Chambers have appeared in the West Indies, Gibraltar and Northern Ireland. We have been instructed to take evidence on commission in Spain, U.S.A., Switzerland, West Indies, Poland, Holland, Australia and Russia.

 

Several members have been instructed in the Appeal Chambers of the I.C.T.Y. in The Hague. Cases include Tadic, Josipovic, Kupreskic and Jelisic. Chambers have previously defended  a former senior military officer before a Trial Chamber at the I.C.T.Y. Members have also advised in conference in Italy, Dubai, Northern Cyprus, Germany, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Instructions are welcomed from foreign lawyers in relation to cases in this jurisdiction and abroad. 

 

Several members of Chambers are currently engaged in the Turks and Caicos Islands on a wide-ranging corruption matter.  Recently, several members of chambers advised a number of clients regarding the international investigation into BAE and allegations of corruption.

 

Howard Godfrey QC is a member of The Bar of The Turks and Caicos Islands; James Sturman QC is a member of The Bar of Gibraltar; both Maura McGowan QC and Bob Neill are members of The Irish Bar and William Clegg QC is a member of the Northern Ireland Bar.

Gelaga King is a member of the Sierra Leone Bar.

Over the last 10 years, members have established links with the Great Britain China Centre and have both lectured and conducted mock trials all over China. Recently chambers has been involved in projects relating to sentencing policy, the death penalty, the media and to the improvement of defence lawyers rights under the new Lawyers Law.
