Profile
Harriet Bathurst Norman both prosecutes and defends all levels of crime in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
Her experience includes murder, serious offences against the person, sexual offences, drugs offences, firearms offences, armed robbery, fraud, money laundering, confiscation and appellate proceedings, with particular experience in proceeds of crime following a secondment to the Asset Forfeiture Division of the Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office.
She has also acted as junior counsel being led on behalf of both the defence and prosecution in cases of murder, complex fraud, money laundering and large scale drug importations.
She is an experienced prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service (Grade 3), Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office, Health and Safety Executive, Department for Work and Pensions and Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform as a member of the Attorney General's C list of Prosecutors.
Also undertakes licensing work and prosecutions brought on behalf of local councils.
