Kieran Galvin and Sandesh Singh, instructed by Adrian Gillan of Gillan & Co Solicitors, secured the acquittal of a company director “ N “charged with laundering over £3.5 million, alleged to be the proceeds of an ‘advance fee’ fraud in the construction industry. Following legal argument as to the indictment and the proper interpretation of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 the Crown were forced to offer no evidence, resulting in the defendant’s acquittal.
